The iQ gets an early launch in October on the West Coast and then becomes available in the rest of the US in early 2012

First revealed in New York earlier this year, Toyota USA has announced the market launch and pricing for the new 2012 Scion iQ.

Based on the global Toyota iQ, the Scion iQ comes with a 1.3 liter, four-cylinder unit delivering an output of 94 bhp (70 kW / 95 PS) and 89 lb-ft (121 Nm) of torque.
The iQ gets an early launch in October on the compact-friendly West Coast (California, Oregon and Washington State) and then becomes available in the rest of the US in early 2012.

Pricing starts at $15,265, not including destination charges.
