Could set a new world record

Gooding & Company has announced plans to auction a 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa prototype at this year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

Based on the 290MM, the 250 TR originally debuted at the Nürburgring 1000km race where it finished in 10th. It would eventually enter competition at the Venezuelan Grand Prix and 1000km race of Buenos Aires, before being restored to its current condition.
The company declined to give an estimate on what the car would go for but said "If this Testa Rossa sells next month, it will be the most valuable car ever sold at auction in the world."
