Citroën has announced plans to offer a special edition DS3 Grey Matter.

On the styling front, the car is distinguished by a matte grey exterior with chrome accents on the mirrors, doors and tailgate. Elsewhere, there's a contrasting roof (in black or white) and color-matching 17-inch alloy wheels.

Yamaha’s YZF-R6 and Honda’s CBR600RR (and CBR1000RR) have been practically the same for at least four years. Suzuki and Kawasaki have only recently updated their sportbikes, and even Ducati’s 1198 (and 1098 before that) is virtually the same.

Triumph, too, is guilty of not updating its supersport machine, the Daytona 675, for some time. Introduced in 2006, five years later and the bike is basically the same. Yes, it got a few minor upgrades in 2009, but hardly enough to call it a major revamp. Honestly, we’re not complaining too much. The era of the constant updates kept us on our heels trying to stay current on all the changes. And really, the Daytona 675 is a damn good motorcycle.

Yamaha’s potent yet manageable FZ8 is enough to make its paternal grandfather, the R1, blush with pride.

As the latest beneficiary from Yamaha’s repli-racer genetic stock, the 779cc inline-Four is endowed with some of Yamaha’s most inspired sporting technology which should serve it well in its life as an everyday sporting Standard.

The FZ8’s DNA has roots in Yamaha’s premier sportbike, the YZF-R1. The current FZ1’s engine was derived from the pre-crossplane R1. The new offspring inherits the FZ1’s R1-inspired alloy perimeter frame, its chassis geometry, some engine components, as well as many design elements from its compact and efficient engine.

Bruno Spengler, Mercedes-Benz Bank AMG C-Class Driver, will start from pole in the fourth 2011 DTM race at the Lausitzring on Sunday (race start: 14:00 – broadcast from 13:45 onwards on ARD TV). The Canadian driver posted a time of 1:19.119 in the individual time trial at the end of qualifying. It’s his tenth DTM pole and his second at this track since 2007. For the 108th time, a Mercedes-Benz driver is on pole position in DTM – it’s the eleventh Mercedes pole at the EuroSpeedway track since its debut in 2000.

Mercedes-Benz team-mate Jamie Green (AMG Mercedes C-Class) will start alongside Spengler on the front row. The British driver posted the second fastest qualifying time in the fourth segment – 1:19.524.

Gooding & Company has announced plans to auction a 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa prototype at this year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

Based on the 290MM, the 250 TR originally debuted at the Nürburgring 1000km race where it finished in 10th. It would eventually enter competition at the Venezuelan Grand Prix and 1000km race of Buenos Aires, before being restored to its current condition.
