First Drive: 2011 Toyota Sequoia Platinum
Turns out the Toyota Sequoia can get glammed up if it wants. Although it's far from the prettiest sport/ute out there, the 2011 Toyota Sequoia Platinum is at the beck and call of consumers looking for an upscale alternative in the full-size SUV market (a field that has long been a domestic specialty).

We'd posit the hypothetical flannel-wearing lumberjack enjoys the simpler things in life. But for $17,150 over the base SR5, Toyota will throw in an all-inclusive Platinum package that should satiate any wood-splitting feller with more discriminating taste. Opt for the stout Multi Mode (part-time) four-wheel drive system for another $3225 and you get our Silver Sky Metallic, $61,380 Sequoia Platinum (includes $975 destination charge) test vehicle.

The San Luis Valley: Colorado's Sweet Spot
Wandering at our leisure, with only the blue lines on our road map as our guide, we headed for the Rocky Mountains and the San Luis Valley in south-central Colorado. A Class C motorhome would be our habitat on wheels and provide all our beloved creature comforts, enabling us to make choices on the fly. We especially appreciated these comforts in winter camping conditions amidst the Rocky Mountains.

In the latest offering from Born Free Motorcoach (a 22-foot Rear Side Galley Class C Motorhome), enjoying the RV lifestyle is like being a turtle. Carrying our shelter with us, we could stop for the night wherever we decided the day should come to an end; bring our favorite foods with us; and sleep in our own bed.

2011 Suzuki GSX1250FA Review
The Suzuki GSX1250FA is the bike a discerning motorcyclist will pick out of a line-up of overly specialized sportbikes or portly sport-tourers emphasizing the latter part of the compound title. Besides its standard equipment anti-lock brakes, the GSX1250FA is elemental in its construction and built to be ridden anywhere, anytime by a motorcyclist who values versatility over hyperbole.

Stripped of its Bandit moniker, in use since the Bandit 400’s U.S. introduction in 1991, the GSX1250FA also differs from its predecessor by way of full-fairing cosmetics. Less obvious upgrades include heavier fork springs and firmer rebound damping, and an additional radiator fan to compensate for the loss of airflow from the full-coverage bodywork.
