Citroën has announced plans to offer a special edition DS3 Grey Matter.

On the styling front, the car is distinguished by a matte grey exterior with chrome accents on the mirrors, doors and tailgate. Elsewhere, there's a contrasting roof (in black or white) and color-matching 17-inch alloy wheels.

The world's largest gathering of smart fans is taking place in Italy for the first time in 2011, it has been confirmed.

In the seaside resort of Riccione, the European smart community will come together from August 4th to 7th. smart has also confirmed that the event will take place in a different country each year, which reflects its expanding importance.

Daimler, Mercedes-Benz’ parent company, decided to delay their decision regarding the future of their super luxury brand, Maybach. The decision of whether to turn Maybach into a subbrand of Mercedes-Benz will be delayed by about a month when the Daimler supervisory board is next scheduled to meet. Daimler originally said it would decide the fate of Maybach by July 1.

Folding Maybach into Mercedes-Benz is now under consideration. Under that scenario, Maybach would be a subbrand, like AMG, and the Maybach name would be used for Mercedes’ top-of-the-line versions of its S-Class, GL-Class and CL-Class vehicles with only minor design changes.

Designed to increase the model's sporting potential, the package features a new air intake (?449), a revised ECU (?698) and a stainless steel sport exhaust system (?1749). Thanks to these modifications, the engine produces 355 PS (261 kW / 350 hp) and 485 Nm (358 lb-ft) of torque - an increase of 85 PS (63 kW / 84 hp) and 135 Nm (100 lb-ft).
