2011 Acura RDX Overview
Overview
The Acura RDX made its debut in 2007, at the peak of America's appetite for luxury and high-tech goods. RDX is emblematic of that optimistic era – an entry level premium SUV targeted directly at upwardly mobile young professionals, loaded to the gills with technology including Acura's first ever turbocharged engine and signature Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system.

But 2007 was a long time ago and Acura believes priorities have shifted for the RDX's target buyer. So for 2010, Acura is offering the RDX in front-wheel drive configuration at a significantly reduced cost of entry. Although this new model will still require premium gasoline, the front drive RDX boasts a 2 mpg fuel economy advantage over the AWD version.

Whether front or all-wheel drive, this five passenger, unibody SUV offers a compelling package with good driving dynamics, and a host of standard and optional goodies. It has to, as competition within the segment is fierce, with new entrants from Audi and Mercedes-Benz arriving this year, and BMW's new X3 in 2011....

Unleash Your Explorer: ALU-Star Expedition Camper
Thomas Kreutziger is a professional electrician by trade, but in his heart, this talented German is a truck guy and an adventurer. If you want a real overland adventure, there is not much on the Continent. The options are to drive to southern Spain and ship to Morocco, or to Italy and ship to Tunisia. Both put you at the fringe of the Sahara Desert. You need a four-wheel-drive vehicle that can travel 1000 miles and be totally self-contained. This fact, along with the heritage of the huge 6x6 and 4x4 support trucks for the Dakar off-road race, has resulted in the design of some amazing expedition campers.

125 Year Anniversary of the Automobile Celebrated by Daimler
Exactly 125 years to the day after Carl Benz registered his “vehicle with gas-engine drive” under patent number 37435 with the Berlin Patent Office in 1886, Daimler AG has celebrated the anniversary of the automobile. Approximately 1,400 invited guests were hosted by the inventor of the automobile at the Mercedes-Benz World in Stuttgart. 2012 Mercedes-Benz M-Class Interior Design
The Mercedes-Benz M-Class designers worked hard to combine the interior expected in an SUV with the luxurious feel of the top Mercedes Saloons. While an expressive dome shape embodies the power of an SUV, the gently sloping dashboard in the front passenger area affords an outstanding sense of space, thereby highlighting the vehicle’s suitability for long journeys.

The evolution of the dashboard in Mercedes-Benz off-road vehicles, from the early days of the G-Class through to today’s new M-Class, makes it clear how much aspects of comfort and wellbeing have now come to the fore:
2012 Mercedes-Benz M-Class Makes American On-Road Debut
The 2012 Mercedes-Benz M-Class SUV, the third generation of the successful SUV, is scheduled to make its on-road debut in the United States this week. Along with the R-Class and GL-Class, the M-Class SUV is produced in the USA at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, which began production in 1997 with the first-generation M-Class.

The all-new M-Class received updates both inside and out, the 2012 M-Class sits about 3/4-inch lower than the previous model, the new SUV is nearly an inch longer and a half-inch wider. It also took styling cues from other Mercedes-Benz models, we see the CLS in the headlights, the E-Class in the taillights and the SLS AMG in the SUV’s grille. On the inside, the cabin received several updates that we like, a sporty, four-spoke steering wheel frames a hooded twin-gauge instrument cluster as well as wood and aluminum elements with controls in a silver shadow finish and soothing ambient lighting.
