Mercedes GP PETRONAS set for ‘turning point’
Mercedes GP PETRONAS driver Nico Rosberg has expressed his belief that the team has reached a "turning point", meaning they can now look forward to enjoying an extended run of results.

The team currently occupies fourth in the Constructors' Championship, but have failed to record a single podium finish. Despite this, Rosberg has insisted that team is about to enter a period of success.

For the first time ever, DTM racing was staged on a specially constructed circuit in a sports stadium. The 3,911 foot track has been laid out over an area of 18,000 square metres on top of 8,000 cubic metres of aggregate material in the arena of the Munich Olympic Stadium.

Mercedes GP PETRONAS Team Principal Ross Brawn has hailed the manufacturer's "solid" points return at the British Grand Prix, with Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher finishing in sixth and ninth places respectively.

Brawn said he was especially pleased with the result given that both drivers began the race outside the top ten places on the grid.

A European Union court in Luxembourg has denied an Audi and Volkswagen attempt to trademark the term "TDI" for exclusive use on their engines, according to German newswire Deutsche Presse-Agentur (dpa). The judges presiding over the case said that the letters are an abbreviation that is not unique in the European Union.

Could set a new world record

Gooding & Company has announced plans to auction a 1957 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa prototype at this year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

Based on the 290MM, the 250 TR originally debuted at the Nürburgring 1000km race where it finished in 10th. It would eventually enter competition at the Venezuelan Grand Prix and 1000km race of Buenos Aires, before being restored to its current condition.
